At Yıldız Holding, equal opportunity is a natural part of how we do business. I am pleased to see the outcomes of our efforts reflected in the Yıldız Holding Women’s Platform’s 2025 report.
Our report is a strong reminder that we turn our commitments into action. Yıldız Holding became the first holding company in the food and retail sectors to receive the Equal Salary Certification from the International Equal Salary Foundation. We are also pleased that our practices in promoting equal opportunity have been published as a case study by London Business School and as a case analysis by the United Nations Global Compact. Our approach continues to attract international attention. In addition, Yıldız Holding ranked among the top 50 companies worldwide in the DIAL Global Inclusion Index 2025, which measures companies’ performance in diversity and inclusion.
Some highlights from our 2025 report include:
• Through ŞOK Marketler’s “ŞOK’ta Ben de Varım” initiative, the economic value created for women producers reached TRY 25 million, with more than 250,000 products sold.
• Through SuperFresh’s Women Stars of Agriculture project, 21,000 tons of produce were sourced from women farmers, generating TRY 168 million in economic value, while the share of women farmers increased from 5 percent to 27 percent.
• More than 4,000 women farmers received training in artificial intelligence, financial literacy and ecological literacy.
• Through Ülker’s More Than Hazelnuts and More Than Cocoa projects, women farmers are supported in taking stronger roles in agricultural production. In 2025, 2,500 people benefited from mobile health services within these programmes.
• Yıldız Ventures has supported more than 150 startups with female leadership or female partners, with investments exceeding USD 6 million.
• Within the JOB Talent programme, 59 percent of the young talents recruited into full time roles after their internships were women.
I would like to thank Ali Ülker, founder of the Yıldız Holding Women’s Platform, and Begüm Mutuş, Ambassador of the Women’s Platform, as well as all colleagues who contributed to these efforts, especially our Chairman Mehmet Tütüncü.
Creating workplaces where women can participate, grow and lead is essential for building stronger organisations and a more inclusive economy.
