Can we pause the clock of nature? Let me answer right away: yes, it is indeed possible. The process known as embryonic diapause is not as rare as once thought. More than 130 species, including bears, mice, and fish, have been observed pausing embryonic development in response to environmental conditions, waiting for more favorable times. Nature truly possesses an awe-inspiring harmony and order. It is our duty to understand and make sense of this phenomenon we call nature. The only tool we have to do this is science.

The speeches at the Sabri Ulker Foundation's 4th Nutrition and Health Communication Conference were held between 17th-18th November this year. The Nutrition and Health Communication Conference is an event that reflects the mission of Sabri Ulker Foundation very accurately. The conference is a program that aims to share up-to-date scientific information on nutrition and health transmission with health and media professionals, and to inform students, curious young academicians and the public and it attracts a lot of attention.
My father was especially involved and supported NGOs. But he opposed establishing family foundation, as he believed that these activities must be done by volunteers, because he thought that these activities were work of the heart.
The Sabri Ülker Environment Award has been presented with Sabri Ülker's own perspective of protecting soil, water and environment of our homeland.
